Meet the Trainers

The organizers of Drop-in Dog Training have a combined 40 years of dog training and exhibiting experience in a wide variety of dog sports.  Our training philosophy is positive reinforcement based; we are strongly influenced by Karen Pryor, Gary Wilkes, Ian Dunbar and Leslie Nelson.

Ruth and Cassie

Additional assistance will be provided by Ruth Blakeslee and Sara Besaw.  Each has several years experience with a variety of purebred and rescue dogs both of their own and in shelter environments.

Deb Kreider

Deb Kreider has experience in traditional obedience, rally obedience, conformation showing, tracking, therapy, agility, and dog powered sports.  She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, the International Siberian Husky Club and the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club. She has worked with a variety of breeds, including terriers, German Shepherds, Akitas, Shiba Inus, Siberian Huskies and All Americans.  DebK also operates a boarding kennel and offers private training.

Deb Pica

Deb Pica has experience in traditional obedience, rally obedience, field work, and dog powered sports.  She is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the Golden Retriever Club of America.  She is a Paramedic and a Red Cross CPR, First Aid and Pet First Aid instructor.  She and her Golden Retriever Jasmine are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a new puppy.
